Ask exactly what the booking includes: entry, seating, food or drink credit, hours and facilities. A restaurant reservation does not automatically include pool or beach-club use.

Start with the kind of day
Decide whether you want a relaxed lunch, a seated beach afternoon or a longer pool-club visit. The most suitable reservation depends on the activity, not just the venue’s photographs. Ask about shade, seating and the expected atmosphere.
Compare like with like
For each option, write down the entry cost, included credit, seating type, taxes or additional charges and cancellation conditions. A lower entry price can still mean a higher total if food or seating is separate. No current venue prices are assumed here.
Confirm visitor eligibility
Ask whether the venue accepts outside guests on the date you want and whether advance registration is necessary. Resort guest facilities may have a different policy from a restaurant in the same property.
Plan around the return
Agree when the outing finishes and how everyone will leave. If you plan to go directly to dinner, consider changing facilities, clothing and the extra travel time. Otherwise, keep the daytime and evening arrangements separate.
Weather and changes
Ask the venue what happens to a reservation if outdoor conditions change. Agree with your companion how a postponed or shortened plan is handled before confirming. Do not assume the venue’s cancellation policy also covers a separate service.
Playa Blanca
Puntacana Resort describes Playa Blanca as a beachside restaurant and bar serving local seafood, grilled meats and cocktails. It offers a named starting point for a coastal meal. Confirm your intended meal time, visitor entry, any consumable entrance charge and what beach facilities your reservation actually includes.
